Properly designed soakaways and drainage fields that disperse safely into the ground — across rural Lancashire and the North West.
A soakaway (or drainage field) is how a septic tank disperses treated liquid safely into the ground. Get it wrong — wrong size, wrong soil, wrong position — and you get standing water, smells and a system that fails. We design and install soakaways that actually work, sized to your property and proven against your ground conditions.
Before any soakaway goes in, we carry out a percolation test to measure how quickly your soil drains. That test determines whether a soakaway is viable at all, and if so, how big it needs to be. If your ground won’t take it — heavy clay, high water table, or too close to a watercourse — we’ll recommend a sewage treatment plant discharging to a watercourse instead.
We design every drainage field to current building regulations, with the correct distances from boundaries, buildings, watercourses and water sources. Done right, a soakaway is a quiet, maintenance-free part of your system for years.
